Boat Trailer Jack DLX 1500lb Capacity Swivel Style Bolt On

My boat trailer has a tongue weight of 200 lb. I needed a new jack a couple of years ago and bought a 1000 lb rated BassPro jack. One would think that a capacity rating 5x actual weight would hold up several years. Well, not so much. In fairness, my concrete driveway is pretty rough on a trailer jack. The expansion joints put some heavy loads on the jack (as well as my old back). After a good bit of research I settled on the DFX 1500 lb jack because of its many features. I really like it! The jack came well packaged. First thing I noticed was how heavy it is. It came with everything needed and installs easily. It is now MUCH easier to maneuver the trailer in my driveway. The main reason for this is the free swiveling wheel assembly. Almost all jacks have the yoke for the wheel welded to the bottom of the inner tube of the jack. This jack has a swivel joint between the yoke and the inner tube making it MUCH easier to change direction when moving the trailer. The second thing that helps a lot is the 8” wheel (compared to the 6” wheels I’ve always had). It rolls over stuff like the expansion joints a lot easier. There’s many other nice features as well. I removed the cap and this jack has real quality looking gearing that was well lubed from the factory. The 2 grease fittings will ensure getting grease everywhere it’s needed. Finish on the jack is excellent and it cranks very smoothly. Bottom line: I’m well impressed, especially considering the price.

So far so good....the trailer jack was delivered quickly and was packed very well. No instructions or washers came with it but neither was a big deal for me since it wasn't that complicated and I have plenty of extra hardware around.

I like that the jack is American made. The reason I selected this jack were the grease fittings to help maintain the jack. It would have been nice to have some installation instructions but I was able to look at several trailers in the yard to be sure I installed it properly.
