CE Smith Bearing Protectors come as a pair and each includes it's own cover, which helps to keep dirt and water from getting into the Bearing cavity of your trailer hub. The Bearing Buddies are Chrome Plated and are designed to fit standard 4 and 5 lug hubs, that typically use a 1.98" dust cap.

Bearing Buddy / Bearing Protectors are a great, convenient way to make sure your Boat Trailers Hubs and Bearings are always properly lubricated which helps to prevent blowouts and other forms of part failure while trailering. Using a Grease Gun, you can connect to the zerk fitting on the end of the Bearing Buddy and pump Grease into your Trailer Hub; but be careful not to overpack the hub with grease or you could blow out the rear seal and cause problems for the bearings.

Please keep in mind that Bearing Buddy / Bearing Protector Style Dust Caps are NOT compatible with Axles that have a Zerk Fitting in the spindle, such as EZ Lube or Accu Lube Spindles. If you have an Axle that already has a Zerk Fitting on the end of the spindle, then you would want to use an 1.98 EZ Lube Dust Cap instead.
