This ST235/80R16 Trailer Tire features Loadstar's Computer-Generated Radial Tread Design which improves the durability and longevity of their Radial Ply Tires over other competing brands, pre-installed on a Hot-dipped galvanized 6 Lug Trailer Rim for excellent corrosion protection. The 16-inch Loadstar brand Tire (ST235/80R16) is a Load Range E tire, which has a weight capacity of 3,500lb per tire and is roughly equal to a 10 ply tire. The Hot Dipped Galvanized Trailer Rim is a Spoke Style Rim with 6 Lugs on a 5.5" Bolt pattern spacing, which fits most standard 6 lug trailer hubs on the market. The thick galvanized coating on the rim protects it against saltwater corrosion, which makes this combo a great Tire and Wheel for larger freshwater and saltwater Boat Trailers.
Radial Tires are constructed using a steel belt, unlike Bias Ply Tires which use all pliable materials in their makeup. This makes Radial Tires closer to vehicle tires and means they're great for long road trips, as well as a short haul down to the local boat ramp.
