This zinc-plated 6 lug boat trailer disc brake kit is manufactured by Dexter Marine, designed for use with 6,000 lb capacity axles produced by Dexter Marine or UFP.
This kit is designed for replacing one side of your trailer
brakes. If you are looking to add brakes to your trailer for the first
time, you would need to order 2 half kits, or you can find the
full UFP Brake Kit on our website, here.
This kit is designed specifically to fit on 6,000lb capacity trailer axles from UFP (Unique Functional Products; now being manufactured and branded as Dexter Marine), using their specific style of brake flange.
This is Dexter Marine’s Integral set which means the hub and rotor are cast together as one piece so there is no need for an idler hub. As they are machined together, it minimizes rotor runout and provides a smoother ride. The 12 inch zinc plated rotors provide reliable braking performance, reduced rotor runout, and enhanced protection against corrosion, so they are great for boat trailers and land trailers alike. The hub and rotor feature the standard 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern and will fit with most standard 15" and 16" trailer wheels.
This Integral Hub uses Inner Bearing 25580 (1 3/4" ID) and Outer Bearing 15123 (1 1/4" ID). Included with this disc brake half-kit is also a set of lug nuts and a pair of bearing buddy's designed to help keep your rotors greased and lubricated more effectively. This UFP / Dexter Marine disc brake kit is ideal for marine environments and saltwater exposure with the zinc-plated hub and rotor combination and zinc-plated calipers.
