This aluminum trailer disc brake caliper fits Tie Down Engineering G5 brake kits on 3,500 to 6,000 lb weight capacity trailer axles. The aluminum caliper is included in both our Tie Down Engineering 9.6 inch Stainless Steel 5 Lug Disc Brake Kit and Tie Down Engineering 12 inch Stainless Steel 6 Lug Disc Brake Kit. The caliper assembly is constructed of aluminum alloy, designed to help dissipate heat much faster than standard cast iron calipers. The caliper is also coated with Tie Down's E-coat finish, so they are resistant to rust and corrosion, making it a good choice for boat trailers in saltwater or freshwater environments. The caliper includes stainless steel backed ceramic brake pads and all of the great features that you would find in the original calipers found in Tie Down's brake kits, including an oversized rubber piston boot, bronze slide pin bushings, and stainless steel bleed valves. This caliper mounts to a caliper mounting bracket on your axle's brake flange and is secured with two caliper slide pins (not included).
