This Stainless Steel Bolt Measures 1/2 inch in Diameter by 3 1/2 inches long. this Stainless Steel Bolt is specifically listed as a Leaf Spring Bolt for Boat Trailers. Typically, most Boat Trailers will use 1/2 inch diameter Bolts as Leaf Spring Mounting Bolts. However, there are some trailer manufacturers that have, and still do use 9/16 inch diameter bolts. Be sure to check just in case. If you are purchasing Boat Trailer Leaf Springs from us for your Boat Trailer, make sure you select the correct size Leaf Spring Bushing also. These Spring Bolts are ideal for both single axle and tandem axle boat trailer arrangements.

Here's the basic advantage of getting a Stainless Steel spring bolt versus Zinc plated. If you are using your boat trailer in Saltwater, you no doubt had to cut or burn off your spring bolts in order to replace them. With Stainless Steel Bolts, when the time comes to replace your leaf springs, you can simply un-bolt the spring bolts, saving yourself all kinds of time and hassle.

These Stainless Steel Leaf Spring Bolts come pre-sprayed with White Lithium Grease, as it is necessary to use grease on Stainless Steel Bolts when using Nylock nuts to prevent ceasing of the nut to the bolt.

Also, do not use an impact on these Stainless Steel Bolts as the dramatic increase in heat will damage the Nylock Nut permanently and possibly break the bolt.

Bolts were good quality and delivered quickly. Be sure to use grease on the bolts/nuts . I broke 2 even when using a standard ratchet and wrench before they tightened up. All the bolts that I purchased did not have grease on them. Company was quick to replace and follow up to be certain I was happy with the product and service. Will definitely buy from them again.
