This is a Single Axle Galvanized Boat Trailer Fender. This fender is 16 Gauge Galvanized Steel. Galvanized Coated fenders are excellent for use in the marine environment. Having a Galvanized Coating on your fender will significantly reduce corrosion and rust caused by saltwater. This 16 Gauge Galvanized Boat Trailer Fender is also very sturdy, ideal for protecting your boat from road debris.

This Particular Trailer Fender measures 7 inches wide x 23 1/2 inches long x 6 1/2 inches high.

Most commonly 10 to 12 inch trailer tires are associated with tandem axle fenders on boat trailers. Also, keep in mind when replacing a fender, or adding fenders, additional hardware will be needed. For Example, you will need bolts to mount the fender to whatever brackets you will be using. We have Boat Trailer Fender Mounting Brackets available in many sizes. Check them out to figure out which will work for your installation. Some brackets may require using Boat Trailer U-Bolts and Boat Trailer Bolts to finish mounting the fender to the trailer frame.

When determining the length and height of fender, keep in mind the spacing between the two mounting points. Basically the distance between them is the shortest your fender can be in order to mount, unless you are planning on moving those brackets for a shorter fender. Also, be mindful of the height of your trailer fender in relation to your boat hull, it is important that you re-mount your new fender in nearly the exact same location if there is limited room for movement  For instance, if you mount your fender to low, your tires may impact it when you hit a bump or backing down the ramp. If you mount them to high, you may risk damaging your boat hull if the hull impacts the fenders.

Most of our trailer fenders do not come with pre-drilled holes. You will need to drill holes in the correct location for mounting.

Trailer Fender
I only needed one fender but bought two so the galvanizing would be the same. I have a 14 ft Gator trailer which is a rust free galvinized trailer. The two new fenders blended great with the trailer frame. They were simple to mount. H

Replacement Fender
I have a 1990 15' Gregor Aluminum boat with a single axle trailer that is probably as old. Kids using fender as step ladder finally ripped out bolted section of old fender. Looked for awhile and found the right replacement at BTP. Heavy duty, heavy gauge galvanized steel, correct size and shape. Very accurate photos and dimension measurements. Highly recommended.
