This Demco Bolt On Trailer Coupler is made of Heavy Duty Steel with a Zinc Plated Anti Corrosive Finish that boasts a 200 hour salt spray test rating. That means this Straight Tongue Coupler is ideal for Freshwater or Saltwater use on Boat Trailers using a 2 inch towing ball and needing up to 7,000lbs of towing capacity.  The 7,000lb Capacity is perfect for a Tandem Axle 5 Lug Trailer, or a single Axle 6 Lug Trailer.

This Demco coupler is primarily used for Towing any Trailer equipped with Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes, but can also be used for Standard Towing Operations. If your Trailer Tongue measures 3 inches wide, this coupler will fit around that beam, and can be bolted in place using (2) or (3) 1/2 inch x 4 1/2 inch Boat Trailer Bolts (more mounting holes are available if desired).  The bolt holes in this tongue coupler are very standard, but it may be necessary if you are changing from a different brand, or older style, to drill one of two new holes in the tongue depending upon the situation. 

Demco pioneered the EZ Latch design, allowing for an easy and smooth hook up and release from the Tow Vehicle's towing ball. Once you use the Ez Latch design from Demco, you won't want to use another Trailer Coupler Latch System. This design is as easy as the name suggests, and will prove itself valuable from the first use forward. It will auto latch to the Tow Vehicle's Tow Ball upon lowering, securing in place. To release, simply lift the latch, and then crank up on the jack.
