This Stainless Steel boat trailer Leaf Spring U-Bolt Kit is designed for heavy-duty 2" x 3" boat trailer axles, and features 6 5/16" long U-Bolts and Stainless Steel Flanged Hex Nuts. The kit is primarily used for 2" x 3" square tubing axle assemblies or with 2" x 2" tubes with thicker leaf springs. For 2" x 2" axles, we also offer kits with 4 1/2" long U-Bolts and 4 13/16" long U-Bolts. The flange nuts eliminate the need for separate flat and lock washers when securing the U-Bolts and mounting plates to your trailer axle and leaf springs. All stainless steel kits like these are the best suspension mounting options that we carry; completely resistant to rust and corrosion, and ideal for freshwater or saltwater boat trailers in harsh and corrosive marine environments.

The kit includes (4) 1/2 x 2 x 6 5/16 inch square Stainless Steel U-Bolts, (2) stainless steel 4 Hole Mounting Plates, and (8) Stainless Steel Flange Nuts. This is an excellent replacement kit for boat trailer repairs as well as when installing new axles or rebuilding trailer suspension components like leaf springs, equalizer bars, and hangers.

Choosing stainless steel U-bolts prevents rust issues common with raw steel, zinc-plated, or corroded galvanized steel bolts, ultimately saving you money and time on future replacements. To maximize the lifespan and reliability of your U-Bolts, apply a lithium or graphite-based lubricant during installation to prevent galling or threading problems. Hand tools only should be used when tightening U-bolts, and proper threading is essential; avoid using power tools, over-tightening, or tightening too quickly to prevent galling or sticking.
