This replacement Galvanized upright guide on post is manufactured out of 1 1/2 inch square Hot Dipped Galvanized steel tubing, measuring 48" inches tall with the leg measuring 24" inches long. The length of the leg allows for easy adjustments to fit your boat properly. This guide pole is designed to have a 2 inch PVC pole slide over top of it and rest on the guide for the correct placement. The PVC sleeves are available and sold separately. The guides will typically attach into a cross member or by using u-bolts to attach to an I-beam frame. Typically you will see (2) Boat Trailer U-Bolts per side. If you are mounting this Guide pole to a Channel or Box Tubing Frame you may need a 1 1/2 inch Galvanized Boat Trailer Hat Bracket which will additional require (2) longer 3/8 inch Boat Trailer U-Bolts per side. To get the correct size U-Bolt, measure the width and height of your frame material. Keep in mind that you will want to have enough thread to not only go over the frame, but also allow you to put the washer and nut on as well. Also, it is perfectly suitable to use U-Bolts that are wider or longer than needed, as long as their is enough thread, the extra length will not impact anything. For example, if you have a 2" wide by 3" tall frame, you would want to select a 3/8" diameter U-Bolt that is at least 2 inches wide, and 3 1/2 inches long.

If you are wanting to mount this Guide Pole to an I-Beam frame or inside a piece of cross tubing, the correct U-Bolts are available as an add on to the right of the product picture. These U-Bolts would require you to drill holes to mount, but they are the perfect size for that application.

This item worked out good for me. The only problem is that the picture shows a slight angle on the 41" vertical. When I received it, it was a straight 90 degree angle. It still works but my other guide has this slight angle to it. So I have one straight and one on an angle. But still works and I do recomend it but... replace both of them. Looks better!
