This replacement boat trailer guide on pole is manufactured out of 1 1/2 inch square aluminum tubing with 1/8 inch wall thickness. It measures 46 inches tall and has a 24.5 inch long leg for easy width adjustment to fit the sides of your boat as is goes onto your trailer. It has an aluminum welded tab to serve as a stop for your Pvc Guide Post. This guide pole is designed to have 2 inch Pvc slide over top of it. The pvc sleeves are available separately. The guide poles typically attach via u-bolts to the main I-beam frame or into a cross member. This listing is just for one single Guide Pole. This does not include mounting hardware. There are many ways to mount guide poles onto your trailer. On Square Tubing, Guide Poles Will commonly need a 1 1/2 inch Galvanized Boat Trailer Hat Bracket or a similar type of bracket. These Brackets Require Specific Sized Boat Trailer U-Bolts depending upon the height and width of your trailer frame. If you are mounting your aluminum square guide pole to an I-Beam Trailer frame, or inside a cross member, you will most likely on need (2) Stainless Steel Square Ubolt 3/8 inch x1 9/16 inch x 2 1/2 inch per side. The width of this U-bolt will fit perfectly around the 1 1/2" square tubing of the aluminum guide post. the length of this U-Bolt is ideal for mounting the post directly to a trailers I-Beam Frame of inside the rear cross-member of the trailer. For this application you will need to drill holes in order to mount your guide pole in this way, unless you previously used the same arrangement. Using stainless steel U-Bolts with your Aluminum Guide Poles will make the best fit and longest lasting combination for your guide pole system. Using Aluminum Guide Poles ensures that your post will no longer rust out. Typically lesser guide ons will rust from the inside out.

Excellent quality. Perfect replacement for my 15 year old, galvanized steel tubes, which were completely rusted through. I'm sure these will last the life of the trailer. Very quick delivery.

Worked great on my boat trailer. Matched up great to the existing hardware and I don't have to worry about them rusting.

Excellent for the price - this is exactly what I needed. Guide did require some rework, the welded support tab was left raw cut with burrs and sharp edges. This needed to be deburred and rounded to prevent being a shin cutter. Simple to do with a grinder or file. Not sure if this is the way they all come or just a missed operation.

Strong , Perfect Fit
I boat mostly in saltwater. I was replacing galvanized steel guide posts every few years due to rusting from the inside out. I was impressed by the strength of these and feel they are as strong as the steel version. I installed them with stainless steel U bolts on my aluminum trailer and very satisfied.

Exactly what i expected
I bought these to replace some rusted ones. They originally put galvanized uprights on mt aluminum trailer. These new ones are exactly what I expected and fit great. I dont know how much more i can say about a piece of bent metal so I'll leave it at that. Oh yeah, it is a pair as many I saw online were just one. I shopped around and this was the best price.

Ordered these guides to replace galvanized units that rusted out. Quality looks good and seem to be sturdy and well made.
