This is a single Blue Vinyl-Wrapped Trailer Safety Cable Made by Demco that features a clevis hook on one end and an open loop on the other. This cable is heavy duty, it's vinyl coating protects the inner metal cable against rust and corrosion, and this cable is rated to 7,000 on it's own, but is intended to be used as a pair for 14,000 weight rating. Trailer safety cables are required by law for safe towing. If your Trailer and Tow Vehicle are to become disconnected at any point while towing, the Safety Cables act as a temporary backup that will allow you to keep some control over the trailer, allowing you to guide it safely off the road and bring it to a stop.
This Blue Trailer Safety cable is coiled, but extends to 54 inches long. The length, and weight rating of this Boat Trailer Safety Chain make it ideal for many different size and capacities of boat and marine trailers.
