How did I do the job without it?
I've been working on trailers for 30 years. I've pryed, beaten, pulled, knocked and sometimes destroyed the dust caps I was trying to remove or install. If you feel like you have the installation and removal of dust caps under control this tool might not be for you. However, this tool really makes it easy. I hesitated because if you are like me you have one or two trailers (I have 2) and you don't need to remove them that often. I found it to be the best $15.85 I've spent in a long time. I had some problems getting the bearings adjusted correctly so I had the hubs on both my trailers on and off many times. I used in the the regular bearing caps and on the bearing buddy's as well. You have to move the tool back and forth to remove and then you simply tap with a hammer to install. I wish I had known this tool existed many years ago. If you service trailers for a living or as part of your job how can you live without this too.? This is a real review by a real person that just finished complete restoring a boat trailer and a 6 x 10 Landscaping trailer. Prior to seeing this on boatrailerparts.com I had never seen one of these tools. Even if you have one trailer you should be servicing it every few years and this will encourage you in the process. Try it!
